New Compass will be present at the World Social Forum 2013 in Tunis with an event on participatory democracy.

The World Social Forum (WSF) is a giant gathering of social movements and organizations from all over the world struggling for a just and better future. The WSF 2013 will take place in Tunis from March 26 to 30. New Compass is proposing an event called Participatory democracy: From our movements to society.  New social movements like 15M and Occupy practice new forms of direct and participatory democracy through open assemblies and horizontal networks. We would like to discuss how this kind of democracy can be spread and institutionalized in the rest of society.
