Where Are Greece Heading?
23.01.2015
Sunday 25 January is the time for general elections in Greece. The most likely outcome of this poll for national parlament is that the winning party will be Syriza (The Radical Left). The fact that this is a historical mark for the Greek community since the power most of the time from the 70´s onwards has been exchanged and divided between two major parties (social democratic PASOK and conservatiev New Democacy) and that Greece is in a critical stage socially, politically and economically makes it important to understand what this will mean to the extraparliamentary social movements. One analysis, that can give as direction of thought, comes from Markos Vogiatzoglou in the article "What Would a Syriza Victory Mean for the Mowements?".
