Announcement to the international public opinion

Dear All,

Particularly the BDP members and municipalities, thousands of Kurdish politicians, writers, journalists, trade unionists and civil society activists have become the target of arrest operations of AKP government. Approximately 8000 Kurdish politicians have been imprisoned like slaves for years. AKP’s thoughtless policies make the resolution of Kurdish Question impossible and drive Turkey into a process of violence and separation. Clashes which cause lives take place almost every day and therefore the dialog between the peoples weaken. Within the last 6 months, we have faced a picture of the murder of 34 Kurdish villagers by Turkish warplanes, the political genocide resulted thousands of Kurds’ imprisonment and Torture and maltreatment in prisons.

Peace and Democracy Party is organizing a public meeting in Kurdish Amed (Diyarbakir) 14 July 2012, with the participation of the millions, titled “Democratic Solution to the Kurdish Question” in order to make a call of awareness to the international public opinion and to prevent a possible regional chaos. Regardless to its identity or religion, whoever in favour of peace and democracy is invited to our public meeting. In this context, in the name of international solidarity, participation of politicians and representatives of Institutions or organizations will shorten our distance to a respectful peace.
